Handle construction
Material of the handle is high-quality, warm and comfortable to the touch cork. A reel seat with a top scweing forgrip allows to install all major types of reels: modern specialized ice fishing multipliers, small spinning reels and, of course, the timeless classics – simply centerpin.
Thanks to the shortened handle, Glacier Shorty rods are especially convenient to hold with a “pistol grip”. And the relatively short overall length of the rod allows comfortable fishing while sitting on a crate or a chair. One and a half part design – for transportation the handle is separated from the whip.
Zetrix Glacier Type R Shorty – new at 2022/2023 season!
ZGR-58MH Shorty – The lightest and most delicate model Glacier Shorty. Suitable for fishing in still waters and slow current. Reasonable maximum for baits is a little more than 20 g. A reasonable minimum is about 4 g. One of the best tools for trout fishing on commercial ponds, perch, pike and pike on lakes and reservoirs.
ZGR-58H Shorty / ZGR-58H Shorty Gen.2 – The newest model in the Glacier Shorty line. Works well with vibration plugs from 70 to 90 mm. Well works with balanced design ice jigs with the length of 70 mm and more. Blank backbone allows you to fish both at serious depths of reservoirs and lakes, as well as in rivers. And, of course, this model is one of the best options for catching pike at shallow waters on large balanced ice jigs, wide planning ice spoons and oversized vibration plugs.
ZGR-58HH Shorty / ZGR-58HH Shorty Gen.2 – The most powerful model in the line. Focus – catching quite large predators with the use of oversized vibration plugs up to 110 mm in length, large and heavy balanced ice jigs, on reservoirs with the current and in lakes without it, at different depths. Sensitive and rigid blank does not bend when sharply animating such large baits, as well as at hookset. And at the same time it allows you to effectively wrestle a decent trophy, reducing the risk of breaking the line.
Zetrix Glacier Type R models
ZGR-65MH – Suitable for fishing at relatively shallow depths in standing water and in a shallow parts of rivers. Good for all kinds of vibration plugsabout 70 mm in size. This model will be appreciated by fishers who prefer hunts for pikeperch on light ice jigs and perch on balanced jigs with length from 50 mm. An excellent option for trout fishing.
ZGR-65H / ZGR-65H Gen.2 – The most versatile model. Works well with vibration plugs from 70 mm and perfectly copes with all 90-mm models . Holds weak and medium current.
ZGR-70M – Designed specifically for trout fishing. Light, very comfortable 70cm long rod is used for active fishing. Works comfortably with baits weighing up to 21gr. It has enough strength and power to withstand the bite of solid trout.
ZGR-70HH / ZGR-70HH Gen.2 – Long Heavy-Heavy rod is aimed at catching big predators. The rigid, but sensitive blank works with large baits, can clearly feel the lure even in a strong current.
ZGR-65XH / ZGR-65XH Gen.2 – The favorite of fans of the most powerful and stiff ice rods – model designed specifically for the active animation of serious large baits weighing up to 45g with strong hooks. It is not long – 65 cm, rigid enough – Extra-Heavy class. The Zetrix Glacier ZGR-65XH will clearly hook a trophy zander, and allow to smooth all fish movements while landing. ZGR-70XXH Gen.2 – The most powerful model of the series – new for 2023! It can handle large lures up to 65g. It is designed to fight with trophy fish, an excellent choice for those who prefer to fish with fluorocarbon lines – thanks to the greater stiffness of the blank, hooking is more effective.
